Getting Honeycomb in Minecraft is possible by following some tips. The game received Bees and a new pollination system in one of its updates. The novelty allows you to grow honey and speed up harvests with the help of the animals. However, raising Bees is not so easy: it is rare to find them on the map, and they are quite temperamental with those who try to take Honey out of their hive.
Check out, in the following tutorial, how to get Honeycomb, Bees, and Honey in Minecraft for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 ( PS4 ), Nintendo Switch, Android, iPhone ( iOS ), and PC.
Check out how to find bees in Minecraft and breed them in your own Hive to get Honey and Honeycombs.
The natural generation of Beehives in the Minecraft world only happens in Oak or Birch trees, but it is extremely rare in most biomes (between 0.035% and 0.2% depending on the version). Only in the Plain, Sunflower Plain, and Flower Forest biomes do the chances increase to 2% to 5% per tree. An even easier way to get Bees is to plant trees with a flower next to them. This guarantees a 5% chance that the new tree will already grow with a Beehive under its shadow.
Bees always leave the hive during the day in search of pollen, unless it is raining, and return at night. During their journey, they look for flowers for pollen and return to the hive while pollinating whatever is on their way back. By manipulating the position of Beehives, Hives, and Flowers, the player can even speed up the production rate of their crop by having Bees run over their crops with pollen.
How to get honeycomb, bee, and honey in Minecraft
Step 1 – Look for a Beehive in Oak or Birch trees. Oak and Birch trees in Minecraft have a small chance of having a Beehive on them.
Step 2 – When you find it, place flowers around it to make the bees’ journey easier.
Step 3 – Make a Glass Bottle to take out Honey or a Shears to take out Honeycomb.
Step 4 – Make a Bonfire with a piece of Coal, three Sticks, and three Logs of wood and place it under the Beehive to calm them with the smoke.
Step 5 – Wait for the bees to enter and leave the hive five times and its appearance should change to indicate that it is full of Honey. When the Beehive is full in Minecraft, you can see honey on the block.
Step 6 – Interact the Beehive with the Glass Bottle to extract Honey or the Shears to extract Honeycombs. For the next step, three Honeycombs will be needed.
Step 7 – With three Honeycombs and six Wooden Boards, make a Beehive.
Step 8 – It is possible to attract bees with flowers to your new hive or destroy a Beehive and run away until they calm down and agree to go to the new house. Care must be taken as bees die sometime after stinging the player. Attract Bees with flowers to your new Hive in Minecraft or destroy their Beehive carefully so you don’t get stung.
Step 9 – The Hive works just like the Beehive and changes its look when it’s full. Place a fire under the Hive to extract Honey or Honeycomb. The Hive displays Honey when it is full and needs a bonfire to calm the Bees.
Step 10 – Four Honey Bottles can be used to create a Honey Block that can slow your fall by touching it.
