Minecraft: How to Get Saddles for Animals Like Horses and Pigs

Many Minecraft players believe that it is possible to make saddles in the game. However, this possibility was removed a long time ago (before 2013) and several mods offered this option, leaving many explorers confused to this day.

So how can we get saddles to ride horses and pigs and move faster around the map? There are currently a few ways available and Redstone Games has listed each one below.

The “simplest” way is fishing. With the rod, keep casting the bait in the rivers and seas. But be prepared to spend a lot of time doing this, as the chance of getting a saddle is 0.8% (that is, 8 times per 100 throws).

Also known as villagers, the NPCs (non-playable characters) that inhabit the game’s villages give items in exchange for emeralds. The artisan villagers, who offer leather goods, can offer the saddle. The player has a 50% chance of finding such a character and will need 6 emeralds to trade.

Epic Buildings

The game is full of places to find good and valuable items, but they require a lot of exploration time. Check out locations with chests that may contain saddles: Dungeon, Desert and Forest Temples, Fortress and Nether Fortress, End City, Ruined Bastion, and Village.

Each one has its percentage of chance. The three most common are Nether Fortress (about 35% chance), Dungeon (about 28%), and Desert Temple (about 23%). The hardest is the Stronghold, which has almost a 2.5% probability.

When you defeat an enemy, it drops items. So, eliminating enemies and other characters that have a saddle gives them chances to drop the player’s equipment.
